It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the Principal of Greene County High School. I am excited to partner with our students, families, faculty, staff, and community as we work together to build a culture of excellence, achievement, and opportunity for every student.
At Greene County High School, we believe that every student has the potential to succeed. Our mission is to develop and educate students to their maximum potential by providing the skills and experiences needed to become lifelong learners, productive citizens, and successful members of society. We are committed to creating an environment where students are challenged academically, supported socially and emotionally, and prepared for success beyond graduation.
Our motto, "Changing the Culture One Day at a Time," reflects our commitment to continuous growth and improvement. Culture is not changed by a single event or initiative; it is shaped by the daily choices we make, the relationships we build, and the expectations we set for ourselves and others. Each day, we strive to foster a positive learning environment where respect, responsibility, integrity, and excellence are evident in everything we do.
As Principal, my goal is to ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. I believe strong schools are built through collaboration, and I encourage our parents, families, and community members to remain actively engaged in the educational journey of our students. Together, we can create opportunities that empower our students to become leaders, innovators, and lifelong learners.

As Assistant Principal, I believe that strong relationships among students, families, faculty, and the community are the foundation of a successful school. We strive to foster a culture of respect, integrity, accountability, and Tiger Pride while preparing our students to become confident, responsible, and productive citizens.
Our dedicated teachers and staff work tirelessly to provide meaningful learning experiences that challenge students to reach their full potential. Beyond the classroom, we encourage students to become involved in athletics, clubs, fine arts, and community service opportunities that help develop leadership skills and lifelong friendships.
We recognize that student success is a partnership between home and school. I encourage parents and guardians to remain actively involved in their child's education by maintaining open communication with our faculty and participating in school events and activities. Mrs. Tamika Thompson
Welcome to Greene County High, the home of the Tigers. I am Tamika Thompson, and I have worked with the families of Greene County for over 20 years.
As the Counselor, I am committed to supporting students in their academic, personal, social, and career development. My goal is to help every student build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to succeed in high school and beyond.
I work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and community partners to provide a comprehensive counseling program that promotes student achievement and well-being. Services include academic planning, college and career readiness, social-emotional support, graduation planning, and crisis intervention. I also assist students in exploring postsecondary opportunities, including college, technical education, military service, and workforce pathways.
I believe that every student has unique strengths and potential. By fostering meaningful relationships and providing a safe, supportive environment, I strive to empower students to overcome challenges, make informed decisions, and achieve their personal and academic goals.
